Yesterday, was a very busy day after our workshop (started @ 10am till 4pm) thanks to the Kulay facilitators (Ian, Jopalma’s & to everyone who contributed to make it a successful one). I’m really overwhelmed by the efforts of the group the sharing of ideas, the laughter & specially the food. Guys, it was more than a thanksgiving party than a workshop. The exchange of pleasantries was overflowing. Anyway, after the workshop we transferred to other Saudia park a 15-20mins. travel from there we meet dion our model (to dion as promised I won’t make a statue out of you & thanks for being a good sport) to mai for lending me her soft box and specially to Rommel for a very hearty dinner guys you rock!
Shoot using 50mm at f/2.8 ISO 100, flash: 580exII at 1/3 power… enjoy!

Kapatiran
This is my first strobist shot using 1 flash at camera's right side. my model was my brother in the fraternity (thanks to James Bagtas for such a good sport) he's a bit hesitant during that time so i have to wait until he gets drunk to pose for me. So bear with me guys because this is going to be new to me. I have to practice more on light manipulation & need to read tons of tutorials again.... enjoy!
strobist info:
50mm @ f/8, ISO 800
flash Canon 580 EX II at camera's right side @ 1/4 power

Need a light?
So bored today, while i was browsing the pictures on my archive, i suddenly grab this very under exposed image and challenge myself if i can do justice to pictures that can't be revived with CPR (ok that joke is silly). anyway, i added a total of 3 layered textures for this one and my usual dodge & burn... enjoy!

model
After months of experimenting for a portrait workflow, i finally ended up with this i call this the danyl's fx hehehe, i was inspired by the works of jill greenberg, dave hill, jim fiscus & joey lawrence. One thing i noticed was that they have their own style (or a crossover, combination.. maybe). for months of exploration i can say i have my own workflow on the shiny-grunge-look-feel effect. One thing i learned that lighting plays the most important role for this effect. one day if i finally finish my tweaking maybe i'll share my workflow here. for the meantime bear with this one. :) ... enjoy!
