im starting to love HDR, this shot was taken near the fish market in Al-balad. i just applied some dodging and burning and little hue saturation in photoshop. enjoy!

this past days i've been trying to practice on long exposure shots, Lot's of things learned from those photowalks together with the kulay photographers group. from all those shots taken that night. this one i consider my best shot from all the pictures i've taken so far. anyway, there's more on my flickr photostream. enjoy!

Last march 18 we went to taif again, on way back home we stopped near a sand dune, can't explain the feeling during that time 10:am and it's terribly hot. but still we manage to take some shots. but after 10 mins. my throat starts to get dry, lips starts to crack, and my skin starts turning red. man i was thinking how does it feel when you're left in a desert for a long time. gotta grab some dessert bye and enjoy!

this was taken during our photowalk near mall of arabia, Im practicing my long exposure skills. hope this will give justice to the place. here's my settings ISO-100, F18, 15 secs exposure, using my 18-55mm kitlens with a focal length of 22mm. of course with Tripod. (I just borrowed). enjoy!

taif adventure

last friday 3/5/2010 we went on a photo shoot in Taif. Taif is a city in mecca province. at a elevation of 6,160 ft. on the slopes of sarawat mountains. compared to the philippines it's like baguio. it has the most pleasant climate in the kingdom. taif is not a big city but theres lots of essential tourist spots that you can't miss, one of it was the cable car ride. jeddah is just a 2hr. ride. anyway here's my shots in Taif. enjoy!

Finally, i have learned something today that i can post directly from my blog through flickr. well that makes life easy. anyway heres my entry for today "The Dave Hill Effect"

For those who don't know Dave Hill , I'll be posting his link below. Dave is known for his amazing post processing treatment. He has gained a niche of respect in the photography business. A lot of people is trying to mimic his style, but dave's technique seems uncontested. here's my own rendition.... enjoy!
